Gokusen 3, Yankumi is BACK!! It Has Been Confirmed

Rumors of a third season of the "Gokusen" drama series were confirmed on Wednesday. Yukie Nakama will reprise her role as the teacher Kumiko Yamaguchi (affectionately known as "Yankumi").

Based on a manga by Kozueko Morimoto, "Gokusen" has already had two previous seasons. The first, in 2002, averaged ratings of 17.4%, while the 2005 sequel averaged ratings of 28.0%.

The third series will premiere in April on NTV, though the specific time slot has not yet been announced. Casting for the students will be decided around the end of this year.

Note: Yukie Nakama, Namase Katsuhisa(School Vice Principal), and Utsui Ken(3rd Generation Oedo Yakuza Boss) has already confirmed for their roles for part 3.
I wonder if any JE guys will star in this drama? Who knows, but I'm looking forward to this.

Hwang Bora is a drunk driver

It’s the end of the year, and the police have stepped up on the road checks. As a result, someone with a bit of common sense would know that if you drink, then then should be no excuse for driving drunk. In Korea, there are a few options. For the economically challenged, you can sing the night away at a norae-bang (singing room) and then take the first bus/subway home or you can stay at a jjim-jil bang to sweat out all that alcohol. Or if can afford it, you can cab it home or call a dae-ri (hired driver) to drive your car home for you while you sit in the power seat (back right) and pretend that you are you a V.I.P.(even though you are drunk out of your mind).

Hwang Bora thought she was immune to the effects of alcohol and did not take any of the options.

Instead, she opted to drive herself home and was caught at a road check near Kangnam-gu-cheong (near Apku) at primetime 00:20. Her alcohol levels registered at 0.135% and she claimed to have had only a single glass of wine.

Yah right.

Whatever.

She should have known better.

We are Wondergirls, not WonderGrass!

Before Wondergirls and “Tell Me” became a household word in Korea, the five Wonders had their share of embarassing moments. When they performed at the Blue House (Korea’s White House) on May 5^th to celebrate Children’s day, the announcer introduced the five little divas as WonderGrass (원더그라스), instead of Wondergirls. Ouch!

Wondergirls’ other embarrassing moments included warming up for their performance when the music didn’t come on, not receiving a favorable response when they performed in front of older audiences (probably the elderly), seeing embarrassing picture of Sunmi in the newspaper and going to the sauna after their performances.

Kim Jeong Hoon in Singapore

Since it has been quite a while since we posted any news of Kim Jeong Hoon, (I believe none of us wanted to search about him after he became dramakiller) I was told last week that Jeong Hoon deary would be in Singapore the whole of last weekend (arriving on Sat, 15 Dec and leaving on 17 Dec 2007) as a presenter in Stars Award 2007 on 16 Dec 07 at 7 pm and to meet his fans.

The entrance fee for his Singapore fan meeting was S$20 for a 20 minutes session and from the feedback from my friends who attended, it was well worth the wait, money and effort because our Jeong Hoon deary smiled, waved, made eye contact and shook hands with the fans. Furthermore those fans who attended the fan meeting commented that the event venue was cosy so they had a good look at him very comfortably. They commented that he may not be the handsomest but he is very cute and during the translation intervals he would make cute facial expressions, i.e pout, puffed up his cheeks, to keep the fans entertained. In fact, Kim Jeong Hoon is by far cuter in person than on screen!

So last week I was in a quandary whether to make a trip to Singapore again, i.e. twice in the same month (I scooted over to Singapore early this month to watch American born Taiwan singer, Lee Hom Wang in a private concert for free) but finally logic won, Kim Jeong Hoon or otherwise cannot make me go to Singapore again!

C H A R I C E Pempengco Watch: What's next for the Filipino Child Singer?

Charice Pempengco is all over the place but you can't seem to know a specific information of her appearances and concerts.

Well, whoever knows something new, let's share it here.

As for the latest, according to Charicediva.com, her fansite, she will be taping for the Ellen DeGeneres show on Tuesday, December 18. Then maybe, her appearance will be aired on the Christmas week. Can't wait!

After there, she will go back to the Phils and prepare herself for Korea, for another TV guesting there (Star King), with more airtime. And, most excitingly, she will have a duet with Kyu Hyun. And they will be singing "Come What May", ST of Moulin Rouge. These infos I got from charicediva.com. You might want to register yourself for the first hand knowledge on everything Charice.

PS...I am not sure if she will go to the Phil straight from the US or go to Korea, straight from America. But she will be guesting for Star King before Christmas.

Sm To Release New Solo Artist - Sofye, REAL or FAKE?

I can't find reliable sources for this info.

SOFYE (Korean name Lee Young Hye) is a new solo singer that will debut in January next year. She's going to be the third female solo that SM Entertainment has prepared after BoA (2000) and Zhang Li Yin [Jang Ri In] (2006). They say she has a face like Yoon Eun Hye.

SM did not release a lot of info on her as they are currently introducing her as a "mysterious" debutee.
It says that SM has been secretly preparing her for four years and they expect her to "lead" K-pop through her powerful soul-like voice.

I don't know why SM is debuting her so fast as Zhang Li Yin debuted not a while back and her popularity is just recently rising - but I believe SM's preparations for Zhang Li Yin was always for China anyways so... I just answered my own question lol. But is this true? I'm somewhat in doubts. I mean really - why would SM debut another so quickly?

However when I saw this news surface again on different forums, I've begin to wonder if it's true. I've made this thread to ask anyone if they have found reliable enough information to prove that this new SM artist is true.

As for what I think... I'm in doubts, big time.
