Joo Ji Hoon is too good for Hong Gil-dong

This model turned actor’s head got so big over past two years that producers are having a hard time pleasing this hard to get player. Joo Ji Hoon decided to leave the drama Hong Gil-dong only a week before production because Olive Nine, local drama production house and Joo couldn’t agree on the financial terms of the contract. Olive Nine offered him a financial package similar to his latest drama, The Devil, but Joo wanted what Yun Eunhye was getting in Coffee Prince, estimated at US $20,000 per episode.

After Joo Ji Hoon’s announcement, Jo Hyun Jae also left the drama. Jo accepted the supporting role in Hong Gil-dong because of Joo’s “star power,” but as Joo left the drama, that supporting role became meaningless to him.

Joo & Jo are actively seeking out new drama roles while producers of Hong Gil-dong are hastily trying to cast these roles before the camera starts rolling.

Min Hyo-rin has the ideal nose

New singer, Min Hyo-rin is getting more fame for her “perfect” nose than her singing career. Patients clutched pictures of her “luxury” nose to show their plastic surgeons exactly what they want their new nose to look like. The high thin bridge, the slightly turned up and pointed end are the qualities that are most sought after by those undergoing the knife. However, this type of nose, which is more western, is difficult to create on Asian faces since our faces are generally more flatter. The consequence of forcing your surgeon to add more millimeters to silicon rod produces an unnatural nose that is utterly fake looking (at least by other women who can usually tell the difference between a fake nose and a real one).

Min Hyo-rin’s “luxury” nose alone has brought her 8 CF contracts this summer. Not bad for just a nose.

TVXQ! Makes It to Top of Japan's Oricon Charts!

Korean fans have been missing the idol group, but they finally brought us an update. They're number one the Oricon music charts!
TVXQ! first stepped into the Japanese music industry in 2005, and now - 2 years and 4 months later, they beat out ALL other competition for first place on an overseas music chart with their 12th single, "Summer."
The boys have been working hard on the impression they make on the Japanese public. They already have excellent pronunciation of the language, and are fluent enough to give interviews without a translator.
On top of that, TVXQ! play up their talent for powerful choreography and singing skills on-stage, no wonder Japanese fans are going crazy for them!
The singers will continue putting their best foot forward in Japan, but they ALSO have plans to spread their wings into Taiwan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and other Asian nations! We'll keep you posted on their progress.

Good news : IT’S FOR FREE. No tickets fee, you just need to download it from the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE)’s website, starting early September.

Date and Venue : Sept. 22 at Sangam World Cup Stadium, Seoul.

Artists : 14 singers/groups from 9 countries throughout Asia. Including SG Wannabe, Super Junior, Lee Hyori (South Korea), Golf and Mike (Thailand), Lam Truong (Vietnam), Peterpan (Indonesia), Vicky Zhao (China~mainland) Gigi Leung (Hong Kong), A-Mei (Taiwan), and Barbie Almalbis (Phillipines). And artists from Japan are to be confirmed.

And surprise, suprise!! JVKV, formerly F4, will be performing as guest star at the festival!! whooaaa…raise your hand if you miss Dao Ming Tse!!LOLOL..

Jeon Ji Hyun Plays A Vampire.. ? Sassy Vampire??

Jeon Ji Hyun known for her roles in Il Mare, Windstruck and My Sassy Girl, comes as a vampire, in a live action movie based on anime-hit by Oishii Mamoru. Blood The Last Vampire, is directed by Chris Nahon (Kiss Of The Dragon) and Ronny Yu (Fearless), and Ji-Hyun’s first Hollywood movie, where she goes under her western Gianna Jun (my..that name..ck!). She plays as the leading role, a Japanese vampire named Saya, who works for the US government. And this Saya vampire-girl, is an agent in sailor uniform. Don’t be deceived, she’s a great and cool demon hunter with her Katana…seriously..apanese actress Koyuki (remember Tom Cruise’s Last Samurai?yeah, she’s the lady) is rumoured to be in this movie too, playing a character that is originally not in the manga nor anime.

The full english-speaking movie is going to be internationally released in early 2008, while the filming had been done around March-May 2007 in China and Argentina.
